Usually, jellyfish dying after reproduction, but Turritopsis able to return from the "adult" stage of jellyfish to a "child" stage polyp. Theoretically, this cycle is capable of repeated ad infinitum, making this a potentially immortal creature. Turritopsis found in warm tropical waters, but scientists suspect that this also applies in other regions.

Medusa and the Hydra, has long been unsighted biologists and geneticists who hope to use these creatures to reveal the secrets of the aging process. The theory of the "Biological Immortality" Hydra was launched in XIX century, and in the late 1990's has been experimentally proved that the hydra does not die because of aging.

It should be noted that biologists are known as "immortal" cells that are capable, with favorable terms to share an infinite number of times. These include, for example, stem cells.
